Luba Shabal is the Chief Impact Officer at Ember Infrastructure. Luba is responsible for impact assessment, measurement, value creation and reporting across the Ember platform.

Previously, Luba served as Head of Impact Measurement and Management at Closed Loop Partners, where she led efforts in impact assessment and reporting. Prior to her time at Closed Loop Partners, Luba worked at Reworld, formerly Covanta, one of the largest waste-to-energy companies in the U.S., where she focused on optimizing metals recovery and recycling operations. She began her career at EcoStandard Group providing environmental consulting. 

Luba holds an MS degree from Columbia University, as well as an MS and BS degree from Moscow State University. Trained as an environmental engineer, she brings a strong technical foundation to her work in sustainability and impact management.
