Ember receives Platinum rating via BlueMark's independent verification process across four key pillars including strategy, governance, management and reporting.
Manhattan, NY, March 18, 2025 - Ember Infrastructure is proud to announce that it has received the highest possible rating—Platinum—through BlueMark’s independent impact verification process, Fund Impact Diagnostic ("Fund ID").
The Platinum rating is the highest possible rating provided by BlueMark, a leading provider of impact verification services and intelligence for the sustainable and impact investing market. BlueMark’s Fund ID is anchored in a broad range of industry standards such as the Operating Principles for Impact Management, SDG Impact, Principles for Responsible Investment, and Impact Frontiers Reporting Norms. This achievement highlights the firm's commitment to investing in sustainable infrastructure that delivers both strong financial returns and measurable, meaningful impact.
"It's a tremendous outcome that speaks to the commitment of every single member of our team and our portfolio companies. Big thanks to Luba, our Chief Impact Officer, who joined us in October of last year and has made inroads where we did not even know they existed," said Ember managing partner and founder, Elena Savostianova. "Since Ember's inception, we have committed to driving investments with profit and purpose. This independent audit has confirmed that our practices are best-in-class and we plan to keep them that way."
Ember Infrastructure engaged BlueMark in 2025 to independently assess Ember's impact approach across four key pillars of impact accountability: strategy, governance, management and reporting. Each pillar includes a set of underlying criteria and expectations aligned with key industry standards that form the basis of pillar level scores and the overall rating for the fund.
The dedication of Ember's investment team, along with the collaboration of our portfolio companies, contributed to Ember's outperformance across all four pillars:
Impact Strategy: 78% (vs. benchmark avg. 63%)
Impact Management: 77% (vs. benchmark avg. 68%)
Impact Reporting: 63% (vs. benchmark avg. 50%)
Impact Governance: 86% (vs. benchmark avg. 67%)
"I'm thrilled that Ember has received a Platinum rating in its first engagement with BlueMark," said Luba Shabal, Chief Impact Officer. "We appreciate the significant responsibility that comes hand-in-hand with receiving the highest rating in the industry; our work doesn't stop here. As the bar continues to rise and we engage with the world's most sophisticated impact investors, we recognize there is always room to grow."
